Through the introduction of the previous article, I believe that everyone must have a certain understanding of LED traffic lights and solar traffic lights. Recently, I read the news and found that many users are puzzled about what the green wave band of traffic lights is and what they do. I am puzzled, so the editor specially sorted out the information about this part. Then I will explain it briefly for everyone:
(1) The meaning of the green wave belt.
The green wave zone means that when the speed of the road section is specified on the designated traffic route, the traffic signal light is required to adjust the green light start time of each intersection passed by the traffic flow according to the distance of the road section, so as to ensure that the traffic flow reaches every It happened to be the “green light” at this intersection.
(2) To realize the green wave band, the following two points must be made: common period and unified clock.
(1) Common period.
refers to the intersection with the smallest capacity or the intersection with the largest overall traffic load among the intersections that require traffic signal coordination. The signal period calculated by signal timing is used as the common period of all intersections. Therefore, under normal circumstances, the signal cycle of the intersection with the smallest capacity is the longest. After this cycle is used as the cycle of all intersections, other intersections will not be congested.
(2) Unified clock.
All intersections run their respective phase timing schemes according to a time reference to ensure the accuracy of the phase difference of the traffic signal signals coordinated between the intersections, and there will be no time drift or scheme misalignment; because the clock in each signal controller will be Due to different clock accuracy and other reasons, the time drift coordination fails, so a master computer should be set in several intersection signal controllers that need to be coordinated for unified time reporting.
