1. Traffic rules According to the “People’s Republic of China Road Traffic Management Regulations”, traffic lights are divided into traffic countdown timers, arrow traffic lights, pedestrian traffic lights, LED traffic lights, solar warning lights, parking lot traffic lights, toll station lights and so on. The basic rules of LED traffic lights are:
(1) When the green light is on, vehicles and pedestrians are allowed to pass, but turning vehicles are not allowed to obstruct the passage of straight vehicles and released pedestrians; (2) When the yellow light is on, vehicles and pedestrians are not allowed to pass, but they have crossed the stop line Vehicles and pedestrians who have entered the crosswalk can continue to pass; (3) When the red light is on, vehicles and pedestrians are not allowed to pass; (4) When the green arrow light is on, vehicles are allowed to pass in the direction indicated by the arrow; (5) The yellow light flashes At times, vehicles and pedestrians must pass under the principle of ensuring safety.
2. Introduction to various types of signal lights (1) Motor vehicle signal lights and non-motor vehicle signal lights indicate when the green light is on: Vehicles are allowed to pass, but the turning vehicle must not hinder the passing of straight vehicles and pedestrians that are released.
When the yellow light is on: The vehicle that has crossed the stop line can continue to pass, but the vehicle that has not crossed the line needs to slow down and change the lights.
When the red light is on: All vehicles are prohibited. However, vehicles making a right turn are allowed to pass if they do not hinder the passage of vehicles or pedestrians being released.
(2) The crosswalk signal light indicates that when the green light is on: Pedestrians are allowed to pass the crosswalk.
When the red light is on: It is forbidden for any pedestrian to enter the crosswalk; but the pedestrians who have entered the crosswalk can continue to pass or stay at the center line of the road to wait.
(3) When the lane signal light indicates that the green arrow light is on: the vehicle in the lane is permitted to pass in the direction indicated.
When the red cross light or arrow light is on: vehicles in the lane are prohibited from passing.
The arrow direction of the direction indicator light is generally divided into left, up, and right: turn left, go straight, turn right, respectively.
The flashing warning signal light is a yellow light that continues to flash: it reminds vehicles and pedestrians that they need to pay attention when passing, and pass after confirming safety.
(4) If there are two red lights flashing alternately or one red light at a road and railway intersection: it means that vehicles and pedestrians are prohibited; when the red light is off: it means that vehicles and pedestrians are allowed to pass.
